About This Crystal
A polished cabochon displaying a distinctive pattern of deep black background interspersed with vibrant olive-green to pale-green orbicular or swirling inclusions. It is opaque with a smooth, highly reflective vitreous to waxy luster.

Body color ranges from deep black to forest green and chartreuse with distinct orbicular patterns. White to colorless streak. No cleavage, exhibits conchoidal fracture. Specific gravity is approximately 2.58 to 2.91. Tenacity is brittle.

Singly or aggregate doubly refractive microcrystalline structure with no notable pleochroism, chatoyancy, or dispersion. Appears entirely opaque, meaning standard optical interference figures are typically obscured.
