A pale pink to lilac-colored transparent to translucent crystal tower, showing distinct vertical striations along the prism faces and a terminating termination point at the top.

Pale pink to lilac body color, white streak, perfect prismatic cleavage in two directions at approximately 87 and 93 degrees, uneven to conchoidal fracture, specific gravity around 3.16 to 3.20, brittle tenacity, and often exhibits orange-to-yellow fluorescence under UV light.

Optical Properties

Biaxial positive with a refractive index between 1.660 and 1.676, strong pleochroism showing deep pink, pale pink, and clear or violet depending on the viewing angle.
