About This Crystal
The specimen is a small, elongated prismatic crystal point featuring a vibrant, metallic iridescent coating. The top half displays warm golden-yellow hues, transitioning through orange and magenta into a deep purple at the termination. It exhibits a distinct metallic to vitreous luster with a rainbow-like interference sheen due to the thin film coating.
Physical Characteristics
Body color is multicolored (yellow to purple iridescence) due to surface coating, with a white streak for the underlying quartz. Crystal habit is columnar/prismatic. Cleavage is none, fracture is conchoidal. Specific gravity is approximately 2.65 for the base quartz. Tenacity is brittle. Displays strong metallic iridescence on the surface.
