The specimen is shaped as a polished round bead with a central drill hole, exhibiting a distinct mottled or webbed pattern of rich purple to violet patches mixed with lighter lavender and dark matrix inclusions, displaying a waxy to vitreous luster and opaque transparency.

Color ranges from pinkish-purple to deep royal purple with black or brownish patches; streak is pale reddish-purple; cleavage is none distinct; fracture is uneven to conchoidal; specific gravity is approximately 2.74 to 2.80; tenacity is brittle.
