A small, spherical or disk-shaped brown-to-dark-grey concretion with a somewhat rough, pitted, and oxidized surface texture showing patches of rust-colored iron staining

Dark brown to reddish-brown streak, uneven fracture, opaque transparency, metallic to earthy luster, high specific gravity around 4.5 to 5.2

Opaque with no notable optical phenomena, anisotropic internally in microcrystalline form
