About This Crystal
The bracelet features tumbled chip beads of deep blue and white mottled sodalite interspersed with clear, transparent to translucent quartz crystals, separated by metallic spacer beads inset with purple and dark rhinestones.
Physical Characteristics
Colors range from royal blue and white to transparent clear. Streak is white for both minerals. Cleavage is distinct in sodalite and absent in quartz. Fracture is conchoidal for quartz and uneven for sodalite. Specific gravity is approximately 2.3 for sodalite and 2.65 for quartz.
Optical Properties
Sodalite is isotropic (singly refractive), while quartz is uniaxial positive (doubly refractive). Both exhibit a vitreous to greasy luster.
